Jimi Hendrix – Nine to the Universe

Hendrix proves his fluid mastery of guitar and pushes his limited gear to it’s limits within an improvisational and instrumental jam space. Never intended for release, Nine to the Universe reinforces exactly why Hendrix is rock music’s legendary master instrumentalist.

At the time Hendrix was rumoured to be considering a move towards a more Jazz flavoured music, influenced by Miles Davis – there are moments here.

This album is of a much more listenable and musical quality than the informal ragged “I woke Up this Morning and Found Myself Dead” sessions.

If you do not own this and you enjoy Hendrix at his best this is for you.
