The Vox Escort
The longest lasting model in the Vox line besides the legendary AC30 was the Escort. Introduced in 1970 and produced until 1983 the second model Vox Escort features both a battery and mains power options for busking and live performance as well as low level home practice. The Escort features a 2.5 watt RMS integrated circuit amplifier and a single 5.5″ speaker. Dula inputs allow both a gutar and a high impedance microphone to be used simultaneously. The Escort is a frugal amp when it comes to controls – power, tone and volume are the only controls.
The Escort became the highly prized, on street, live guitar amp of choice for buskers and traveling musicians everywhere.
