David Bowie first caught the eye and ear of the public in the autumn of 1969, when his space-age mini-melodrama “Space Oddity” reached the top five of the UK singles chart.
The Guitar Details, History and Prominence
With all the relevant certification in place there is absolutely no doubt that this guitar belonged to and was played by David Bowie. Being his first serious guitar, this Hagstrom was used to write all his early music from Major Tom to Ziggy Stardust .
