Guitar Shop
British (Invasion) Guitarist Jeff Beck talks through his hotrods and car collection for Car Crazy. Jeff built most of his American hot-rods with is own bare hands -just take a look at the album cover for his epic 2001 album You Had it Coming – Jeff likes to get his hands dirty. Before he found success with the Yardbirds Jeff worked in a car body shop to help make ends meet. Jeff spent his first significant sum of money from music on a 1963 Corvette Stingray and he has been steadily adding to his garage / guitar shop ever since.
1963 Corvette
His large car collection includes a 1963 Split Screen 360 horse small block Corvette, and a 1932 chopped 3 window coup. Barry Maguiar meets Jeff at his estate in Sussex and takes a look at Jeff’s barn full of rods; it turns out Jeff’s been sourcing his hot rod parts from legends of the rod scene like Pete Chapouris, Barry Lobeck and Roy Brizio.
